Beginning Wheel
This class is intended for beginner students with little or no previous experience using the wheel. The class will focus on the fundamentals of wedging, centering, opening lifting, and producing basic pottery forms such as bowls, cylinders, mugs, plates, and vases. Time will also be spent on glazing techniques. Students buy their own clay at $30 for a 25-pound bag the first class.
Missed classes cannot be made up and it is important to be on time to participate in the studio orientation.

Time: 9:30am-12:30pm
Length of Class: 3 hours per class/8 weeks
Materials To Bring: Preferred tools, apron, and towel. Please bring a basic throwing kit (see photo). These are available through axner.com, Amazon, or Michael's.
