IRC classes are designed for adults and participants must be18 or olderto participate.​ Minors are not allowed in the studio due to safety precautions.

DEADLINE TO PICK UP COMPLETED CLASS PIECES IS 2 MONTHS FROM THE LAST CLASS DATE. ANY UNCLAIMED PIECES WILL BE DONATED TO THE STUDIO OR DISCARDED. PLEASE CONTACT THE STUDIO IF YOU NEED TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS BEYOND THE DEADLINE.

BY PURCHASING A CLASS YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Studio Policy

For cancellations more than 14 DAYS before the first class day, a refund less 15% handling charge will be issued. For cancellations within 14 days before the start of class, class cost will be forfeited unless the space is resold. If the space is resold, a refund less 15% will be issued. We are unable to offer credits for future classes.

Beginning & Independent Hand Building - come play with clay!

Beginners: Learn the basics of hand building in clay. Pinch pot, slab and coil construction will be covered in the first three sessions. The fourth session will be devoted to glazing. Both sculptural and functional forms will be addressed.

Have experience? You may work independently during these class sessions.

Participants may work on individual pieces of their own creation. Ginny will provide guidance, answers to construction and technique and design development.

Length of Class: 4 sessions/3 hours each/1 day per week

Clay Skills To Be Learned: Beginner techniques including pinch pots, coils, slab work along with glazing.
