IRC classes are designed for adults and participants must be18 or olderto participate.​ Minors are not allowed in the studio due to safety precautions.

DEADLINE TO PICK UP COMPLETED CLASS PIECES IS 2 MONTHS FROM THE LAST CLASS DATE. ANY UNCLAIMED PIECES WILL BE DONATED TO THE STUDIO OR DISCARDED. PLEASE CONTACT THE STUDIO IF YOU NEED TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS BEYOND THE DEADLINE.

For cancellations more than 14 DAYS before the first class day, a refund less 15% handling charge will be issued. For cancellations within 14 days before the start of class, class cost will be forfeited unless the space is resold. If the space is resold, a refund less 15% will be issued. We are unable to offer credits for future classes.

Sculpting Your Favorite Animal

Students will work from pictures. The students will make either a 3D bust or sitting figure of an animal. For a 3D representation, pictures of the right and left profile as well as front, back and top are required. If this is not possible, or if the student wants to make a standing animal with thin arms and legs, a relief sculpture on a slab is recommended. In either case the instructor will offer direct help and guidance. This will include discussion of the animal anatomy as well as designing the sculpture, The sculptures will be readied for firing.
