Kim has been an enthusiastic student of clay for about 20 years, balancing her passion for ceramics with a demanding career in nursing. Though not does not consider herself an expert, she has remained dedicated to learning and growing in the craft.
Recently retired from a distinguished nursing career, Kim has worked as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and the start-up project manager for the Cleveland Clinic Scully Endoscopy Center. While she excelled in leadership roles, she ultimately stepped down from management to return to the direct patient interactions she found most fulfilling.
Kim’s leadership style was rooted in team-building and a strong commitment to service. She prioritized hiring individuals who embraced a customer-first mindset, asking every candidate, “Who are your customers, and what does customer service mean to you?” The right answer, in her view, was recognizing that everyone—patients, families, doctors, and colleagues—was a customer.
This philosophy of service has guided Kim throughout her career: listening, understanding, and striving to help others in every role she takes on.
